Postpartum Healing Program

Congratulations and welcome to the 40 Day Observational Study on Postpartum Recovery Practices in the United States. Please look over each section carefully, gather your supplies, write a plan for yourself and your family, and most of all take a deep breath and have fun with it.

You do not have to do any of this, this is the suggested healingprotocol that starts the day of the birth, but you will prepare ahead of time.

Please keep a daily record of food, warming treatments, binding, and other activities, so we gather accurate information. You will do this in the journal portal. You will have a link, you can click on this every day to get a new journal page, and then click submit. The goal of this protocol is to balance hormones, induce lactation, and heal the womb.

It is important to know that this program is comprehensive in nature. All of these healing modalities work together and they are meant to be done together.

Creating routine/ritual – write out a plan for yourself, explain it to your family/support system.

If possible you will want to get help implementing this protocol. You can ask the father of your child, a trusted family member or friend or hire a doula. No part of this protocol can be copied or shared, to do so is in copyright violation. Resources have been cited where appropriate.

The 8 elements of postpartum healing include:

*If you’ve had a CESAREAN DELIVERY, please be aware that some of the healing protocols may not be safe to perform until your doctor has given you clearance. In this case the healing program, will be longer usually within a 3 month period.

**There is 1 prenatal exercise you can do if you choose – labeled Prenatal Fear Release Exercise. You can do this by yourself or together with a partner.
